FOUNDER, principle investigator, impact producer and strategic designer, narrative researcher
Research
As a filmmaker, impact producer, and artist, I am deeply interested in developing new frameworks for artists and other creative practitioners to engage meaningfully with the world around them in ways that go beyond communications or activism. This has led to the development of Narrative Knowledge research, my work in Outreach and Engagement for nonfiction media, and the foundation of the Artists Literacies Institute.
A film or artwork never exists free of context, and I believe that developing models for effectively contextualizing creative work, and putting the qualitative knowledge of creative practioners to use, can amplify art's capacity for impact, knowledge creation, and social catalysis.
